Privacy Policy

Effective June 2026

Introduction

Ball.Food.Booze. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website ballfoodbooze.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit the Site, create an account, save a trip, sign up for our mailing list, or contact us.

Information we collect

When you create an account — by magic link or by signing in with Google or Apple — we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your name, if you provide it
  • Your favorite team or school, if you provide it

If you save an itinerary, we store that trip (the venues and plan you built) against your account so you can return to it. When you join our mailing list we keep your email and any details you share. When you contact us, you email us directly — that correspondence lives in our inbox, not in a database on the Site.

We also collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, referral source, and device type, in aggregate, to understand which Playbooks are useful. We do not collect payment card numbers ourselves — any subscription billing is handled by our payment processor.

How we use your information

  • To run your account and keep your saved trips in sync
  • To send Playbooks, travel tips, and updates you've opted into
  • To personalize content based on your favorite team or location
  • To respond to messages you send us
  • To improve and optimize the Site

Cookies & tracking

When you sign in, we set an essential session cookie so the Site can keep you logged in and load your saved trips. That cookie is required for the account features to work. We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking, and you can browse the public Site without signing in.

Affiliate links

Our Playbooks contain affiliate links to third-party services for tickets, hotel bookings, and restaurant reservations. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Those third-party sites have their own privacy policies and data practices. Our full affiliate & editorial disclosure has the details.

Third-party services

We use third-party providers to help operate the Site — including hosting, authentication, database storage, email delivery, analytics, and interactive maps. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect your information. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with the service providers described above, as necessary to operate the Site and deliver our communications.

Data retention

We keep your account and saved trips for as long as your account is active, and your mailing-list details for as long as you remain subscribed. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Unsubscribe from our mailing list using the link in any email

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
