Affiliate & Editorial Disclosure
The short version
Some links on Ball.Food.Booze. — particularly hotel booking links — are affiliate links. If you click one and complete a booking, BFB may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The most common affiliate partner is Booking.com.
What that means for editorial
It does not change what we recommend. Restaurants, bars, hotels, tailgate spots, and itinerary picks are chosen on editorial merit — the place we'd actually send a friend. Where two comparable options exist and one has an affiliate program, we use the affiliate link; we never promote a worse choice because it pays more.
The ranking inside any Playbook section is the same whether the venue is affiliate-eligible or not. If you see “1. Forté” at the top of The Roster, that's where it sat before we considered booking links.
Where you'll see disclosure
A short italic line at the top of every section that uses affiliate links (today, that's Hotels). This page carries the long form. We do not put a disclosure on every individual card — that would be visual noise without adding clarity.
Subscriptions vs. affiliate
BFB also sells subscription access to the full Playbook library. Subscriptions and affiliate commissions are separate revenue streams — neither changes the editorial pick.
